Before I begin my review I would like to mention my professional background in electrical and mechanical engineering and as a retired electrical contractor. I have been in the industry for 51 years and I have seen, purchased and handled every conceivable nut and bolt, electrical and electronic materials. I have used machine bolts from every part of the world and experienced their quality and abilities for their durations. I have experienced cheap and first class quality and with this I ventured to find the best E-bike for me. I reviewed the Grizzly V2 with all of my experience for every single part of this bike including the machine bolts. Well, here goes.
After months of research and countless web sites from Walmart to best buy to Segway to Ariel Rider I found the Grizzly and I can honestly say that this is the best choice I could have made. I received the Grizzly in fine shape, perfectly packed and boxed. The minute I removed the bike from its packing I had a hunch that this bike was going to be the real deal. It was solid and a bit heavy (I knew this prior) and I could see immediately that this was a tank of a bike. Everything I removed from the packing was 1st rate. I was already impressed and the cost of the bike started to make sense a little more. I assembled the bike as per the manual and had no issues at all except one of the threads for one of the pegs was slightly stripped but I managed to secure the bolt with a bit of bar soap. No problem.
Now I went over the bike with a fine tooth comb and scrutinized everything on it. The Frame is solid as a rock ( the Mercedes Benz ) of bike builds. The front and rear shocks are machined shocks with adjustments. 1st rate quality and anyone could see it. The brakes were smooth and no rubbing but easily adjustable if needed. Again 1st rate quality.
The wheels and tires are wonderfully solid with ZERO wobble at full speed. I raised the bike and spun the wheels front and rear.
The Motors!!! All I can say is OMG! Be prepared for the torque because they are crazy powerful. These motors are 1000w monsters. All the power you could ever possibly need on an e-bike. I am a 220 lb man and it spun the rear wheel on start throttle. I wasn’t prepared for that but that was a pleasant surprise and it was just the rear..not the front.
Ok..the batteries and charger. I cant stress enough about the quality of these items. The batteries are heavy and the chargers are heavy but they need to be with this degree of power and charging abilities. They mount easy, no screwing around lining things up…no…they just slide right on and right off with ease. Initial charging took a few hours and they were ready to go.
The ride was spectacular! A few minutes to get used the amount of power your sitting on and how to manage the motors. I used the rear mainly and it got me to 20 mph in a few seconds with ease. I went up and down hills, grass, dirt and rocks…with ease and comfort (thank you rear shocks). I rode the initial trip around my community which the on board display indicated 8.5 miles. I checked the battery level and im still at 99%. I took a trip of a total of 14 miles the next day and another 8.5 miles in my community and the battery level was now at 78%...pretty impressive. For the next 2 weeks I had ridden another 24 miles and the batteries dropped to 50%. Crazy good as far as im concerned as I was skeptical on the stated miles per charge…I think it surpassed what Ariel indicated.
The ride was insuring and stable, the braking was great and the motors are just insanely great. The shocks work and definitely take most of the sting of the road out, the display was good in daylight and everything worked to perfection. The cost of the bike now made total sense and I believe the Grizzly is worth more than what they charge…..it is that great.
I did not mention that Ariel Included a full tool kit and touch up paint…(nice touch). Customer service is responsive when I emailed for information. Ariel is an American Base Company <

Not really red
So far so good love the power and its an over all fun bike. Breaks, tires, and seat not so much. If it's going to come with passenger pegs just give us the extended seat..bike cost enough to begin with. The red color advertised on the website is about 3 shades darker from reality. Expect closer to magenta on the fork and shocks. Over all fairly satisfied with purchase.

First ebike did a lot of research and the grizzly was the one for me I ordered it in September the V2 and I had to wait until December to get it and it was worth the wait OMG the power two thumbs up love this bike....
