Warranty Info

Every ebike is covered under a limited warranty for the original owner against all manufacturing defects. Warranty parts will only be shipped within the United States with. Shipping of warranty replacement parts are only covered for the lower 48 states. 

Please note that it is the owner's responsibility to register for warranty within 30 days after receiving their order and failing to do so will result in no-warranty on your purchase.

Ariel Rider Ebikes warrants this product, including all individual components against defects in material or workmanship as follows:


Ariel Rider Ebikes Limited 1-Year Warranty:

    1. Ariel Rider Ebikes’ bicycle components including forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, bottom bracket, crankset, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD display, battery and hardware are warranted to be free from manufacturer defects in materials and/or workmanship for a one-year period from the date of receiving the order.
    2. Only the original owner of an ebike purchased from Ariel Rider Ebikes is covered by this limited Warranty. The warranty period begins upon the receipt of the bike and shall end immediately upon (1) year after receipt of the bike, or any sale or transfer of the ebike to another person and under no circumstances shall the warranty apply to any subsequent owner.
    3. This limited warranty does not cover:
      1. Normal wear and tear of any covered component,
      2. Consumables: including but not limited to tires, tubes, brake pads, cables and housing, grips, chain, spokes, bell and accessories.
      3. Any damage or defects to Covered Components resulting from failure to follow instructions in the ebike owner’s manual, acts of God, accident, misuse, neglect, abuse, commercial use, alterations, modification, improper assembly, installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible with the ebike as sold, operator error, water damage, extreme riding, stunt riding, or improper follow-up maintenance.
      4. For the avoidance of doubt, Ariel Rider Ebikes/Arba International LLC will not be liable and/or responsible for any damage, failure or loss caused by any unauthorized service or use of unauthorized parts.
      5. Any tampering (including but not limited to changing the look of the item e.g. painting, stripping the paint), misuse, or negligence in handling or use of the products renders the warranty void. Further, the warranty is void if the serial number of the item is removed or defaced.
      6. The battery is not warranted from damage resulting from power surges, use of an improper charger, improper maintenance or other such misuse, normal wear or water damage.
      7. Labor for diagnosis and installing the necessary replacement parts.
      8. If the ebike is confirmed to be defective and replaced within the warranty period, the warranty terms and length is not overridden with the new delivery date of the replacement bike.

        DETERMINING WHETHER DAMAGE OR DEFECT TO AN EBIKE OR COVERED COMPONENT IS PROTECTED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE IN THE SOLE DISCRETION OF ARIEL RIDER EBIKES.

Special Warranty Provisions for Specific Products

While all our e-bikes come with a standard 1-year warranty covering all major components, please note the following exceptions:

  1. Parts and Accessories: Parts and accessories purchased directly from Ariel Rider Ebikes are covered under a 6-month warranty (exclusions apply, please see #3),

  2. Batteries: Batteries sold by Ariel Rider Ebikes carry a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. It is essential that these items are maintained according to the guidelines provided at the time of purchase to remain eligible for warranty coverage.

  3. Third-Party Products: For products like the Thousand helmets and Mototote bike racks, the warranty must be handled directly through the original manufacturer. Ariel Rider Ebikes does not cover these items under our warranty policy. Customers are advised to contact the manufacturer directly for any claims or support related to these products.

 

Credit Card Chargebacks

If for any reason a credit card chargeback of any amount is issued on an order and the customer is still in possession of the product(s) within said order, the warranty will be paused until the chargeback is resolved.


How to make a claim for warranty?

Ariel Rider Ebikes/Arba International LLC will not replace any covered component under this limited warranty without first seeing photos or videos of the damaged component. In order to receive a replacement of a component covered under this limited warranty, you must:

    1. Contact Ariel Rider Ebikes tech-support team through our chatbot on the website or via email info@arielrider.com. The tech-support team will initially work with you on the problem with your ebike to identify potential simple fixes.

    2. If the tech-support team determines that the component must be replaced or inspected, they will provide you with a set of instructions for returning the defective component before receiving the replacement.

    3. After you receive the replacement component, the tech-support team will also assist in determining how to replace or install the new component into your ebike.

    4. You will be responsible for shipping costs associated with returning a component, unless Ariel Rider Ebikes/Arba International LLC agrees in writing to pay for such shipping costs. Replacement components under this Limited Warranty shall only be shipped to the address of the original purchaser.

    5. Failure to return a replaced/damaged component within 30 days of receiving the replacement part may result in voiding your warranty.

      The aforementioned remedies are your sole and exclusive remedy and Ariel Rider Ebike’s/Arba International LLC/s entire liability for any break of this limited warranty. Ariel Rider Ebikes’ liability shall under no circumstances exceed the actual amount paid by you for the Ebike, nor shall Ariel Rider Ebikes/Arba International LLC be liable for any consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages or losses, whether direct or indirect.

      Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the aforementioned limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

      This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.

      To the extent permissible under applicable law, Arba International LLC/Ariel Rider Ebikes disclaims all implied warranties, including without limitation the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose for the duration of this expressed limited warranty.

Damaged or Incomplete Items

In the event that a customer sends a part to Ariel Rider for repairs and it is received in a condition that is damaged beyond repair, or incomplete, Ariel Rider reserves the right to recycle or dispose of the item without prior notice to the customer. This clause is particularly crucial in the case of lithium-ion battery shipments. Customers are advised against tampering with their batteries, as this could lead to irreparable damage or create safety risks.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all items sent to Ariel Rider for repair or servicing are in a condition that can feasibly be repaired. In cases where the item is deemed by Ariel Rider's technicians to be beyond repair or received with missing components, the customer acknowledges that Ariel Rider has the full discretion to appropriately recycle or dispose of the item in accordance with environmental and safety standards.

By sending any item to Ariel Rider for repair or servicing, the customer agrees to this clause and understands the implications of sending damaged or incomplete items. Ariel Rider will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer of the item's condition upon receipt, but is not obligated to return items that are deemed unrepairable or incomplete.


Kindness

The friendly, helpful and patient team of Ariel Rider Ebikes have been praised for our customer service even in most difficult cases.

As avid ebike riders, we do understand how frustrating it can be to have a technical issue with your bike, or something wrong with your order. And we can relate to your frustration and even anger at times, but we will NOT tolerate rude/vulgar language towards our team. We will offer a warning if such a case occurs, after that, we do reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, issue refunds, void warranties, or cancel orders at our sole discretion. If this decision is made it is final and cannot be undone.

Sadly very seldom, we do receive blackmails from unhappy customers, because their issue isn't solved the way they'd prefer. Please note that blackmail is the crime of threatening to reveal embarrassing, disgraceful or damaging information about a person/company to the public unless money or any other valuable thing is paid - to purchase silence. Blackmail is considered a federal crime and can be punishable by either fines or imprisonment depending upon the specifics of the case. The victim does not need to be a federal office-holder in order for blackmail to be prosecuted at the federal level. In such blackmailing cases, Ariel Rider Ebikes/Arba International LLC will offer a warning at first, after that we do reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, issue refunds, void warranties, or cancel orders at our sole discretion. If this decision is made it is final and cannot be undone.

** Please note that we do not offer overnight or two-day delivery shipments for warranty replacements. Shipments will be conducted via FedEx, UPS, or USPS in accordance with shipping regulations.
