NYC Code § 220-610 Notice

Ariel Rider e-bikes and batteries sold in New York City must comply with NYC's micromobility certification requirements (NYC Admin Code § 20-610, established by Local Law 39 of 2023 and expanded under Local Laws 49 and 50 of 2024). E-bikes must be certified to UL 2849, and lithium-ion batteries to UL 2271, by an accredited testing laboratory.

What this means for NYC customers:

✅ Our current model lineup is available for shipment to all five NYC boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island) and meets NYC's certification requirements.
❌ Legacy / discontinued Ariel Rider models and their replacement batteries cannot be shipped to any address in New York City or New York State. This includes standalone replacement batteries for older models that pre-date our current certification.

If you own a legacy Ariel Rider model and need service or a battery replacement, please contact us at info@arielrider.com before placing any order. We can confirm whether your model is eligible and walk you through your options.
