Astonishing torque

The mid-drive motor offers smooth riding experience - you won't feel like you're riding an electric bike at all.
This mid-drive motors provide one of the highest torque in the market.
M-Class is equipped with the 48V 500W mid-drive motor sporting 98 Nm torque.

Great bike for steep climbs

I bought my bike a year ago and really enjoy it. I live on a steep (17% grade in some sections) dirt road and this little bike makes my commute manageable. I switched to knobby tires (meant for a BMX bike, but it works for this one) to make the dirt and gravel sections of my ride a little easier. The bike gets me out of my car, which makes me so happy. I did a lot of research, and there isn't another bike within this price range that can climb the hills I need to climb to get home at the end of the day without burning out a motor. Overall, I really enjoy this bike and I am very glad I made the purchase. I've been recommending it to all my coworkers and friends.

A few things to note:
1) My commute is 27.5 miles round-trip with 3600' of elevation gain. I get one full commute per battery charge, so about 30 miles per charge. This mileage is a bit less than the 45-65 miles advertised, but I recognize that most people do not have so much climbing on their rides.
2) Some of the gears (primarily 4th gears) skip when I'm riding and have done so since I took the bike out of the box. Given that this is an internal hub, I haven't yet figured out how to make the appropriate adjustment so mostly don't use this gear.
3) The instructions for assembling the bike were difficult to find (I didn't see them linked on the website but was able to find them through a google search) and were for an older model of the bike. I was able to follow them, but a few things have changed.
4) I very much appreciate that the bike has 8 gears. The hardest gear doesn't allow me to pedal fast enough on the downhills (again due to the steepness of my ride, which results in speeds upwards of 30 mph), and still I haven't quite figured out the gear/assist tradeoffs for hill climbing. Lower gears mean that the pedaling is easier, but you also get much less assist. I end up leaving the bike in a higher gear (3rd-5th gear) for my steep climbs because the assist is so much more powerful.
5) With the knobby tires that I added, the fenders barely fit. I'd love to see Ariel add an option for purchasing the bike with knobby tires and/or move the fender attachment just a bit higher to make room for knobby tires for those of us who have gravel/dirt on our commutes or rides.

Despite some of the relatively minor issues outlined above, this is a fantastic bike for the price. I very much recommend this bike to help you get out of your car. Better for you, better for our air quality.

I drive semi truck and wanted a way to explore so did some research , I've had this bike going on three years and still going strong .
I ditched the fenders and put bigger tires on it . Thing really scoots .its basically the BMX bike I wish I had when I was a kid

So far it’s all good news.

Only 40 miles on the bike so far but I love it.

Starting at the beginning, after purchasing the bike there was a bit of a delay confirming the order and shipping but that was followed up with a confirmation and a follow up email.

Bike arrived with some signs it had been jostled around in shipping but no damage occurred. Bike and tubing were very well packaged.

Assembly took about an hour. It should have taken 10 minutes but attaching the front fender was extremely difficult due to the bolts being just a hair not long enough. Technically they are long enough but it’s very awkward and required pre-bending some of the plumber style clamp ends. It was comedically difficult given that it was just putting three bolts into holes. Also required an adjustable wrench that was not included.

A spare parts bag was included and a variety of cheap tools which was very welcome.

After the fender issue I was up an running in no time. There are no physical directions in the box and my phone was dead so I had no way to go online to review the setting options for the display controller but figured out the basic operation.

The bike works exactly as you would expect and I had no problem getting up to 20 miles per hour which is definitely fast enough. The gearing is also very usable without turning on the motor. Obviously geared for hills and start and stop riding not speed. For a city bike that’s the way it should be!

Two negatives. The paint job is fine but not as durable as most mass produced bikes. Not a big deal. Just easy to scratch.

The battery meter shows significantly less mileage in the two highest pedal assist levels. Haven’t had time to accurately compare the mileage in level 1 vs 5 but I’d be surprised if level 5 is 20 miles range on moderately hilly terrain with a 175 lbs rider.

There are bosses to attach a water bottle cage but the location on the top of the top tube would make for awkward mounting and dismounting.

Parts and build quality are very nice. Nothing cheap about this at all. The seat is IMO ugly but not uncomfortable. The rear rack came pre attached. I like that it is not part of the frame if it gets damaged or I just don’t want to use it.

The bike is very compact which was why I selected it. Not much longer than a Brompton but much heavier.

Light and Nimble

My first impression is that the M-Class is easy to handle, I have to carry my bike upstairs and the weight of my older W-Class was wearing on me. Wondering how well the smaller tires will wear. The front shocks allow more dampening than i thought they would. I’ve only ridden it once so I’d rather get back to you in about a month or two with a better informed review.

Love my bike

Shipped well. The video for putting the fender on needs to be re-done. Also, putting the fender on was very difficult once we figured out how to put it on.
Great bike easy to ride and very lite weight. I have had a few EBike and this is the best one I have had. I live in The Villages where you ride up and down tunnels, bridges and golf cart paths. Very Smooth ride and fun.
